The Maine have posted a new video for their song “Misery” (that can be viewed above) off their latest album Pioneer.

If you haven’t given this band a chance, or have and didn’t enjoy it, I highly recommend giving them one now. The Maine have gotten a lot…darker. I used to not really be into this band but with their last two albums they have definitely won me over. They suddenly have a very Ryan Adams meets Third Eye Blind and Nirvana sound/feel to them, but in their own creative way. I love it. Raw raw music and it’s so damn good.

I agree. I kind of lost interest in The Maine as I grew more mature, and their music didn’t. I feel like this last album especially has caught up with me and grown up with me with it’s mature and raw sound. With each new piece of music or video, I have increasingly more respect for this band. They are not just some band I used to listen to my freshman year of high school anymore. They are real time, legit musicians and I look forward to what they put out in the future.
